All workers trained under the current Fall Arrest standards will have until April 1, 2017, to be trained under a MOL Approved Working at Heights training.

On April 1st, 2015 the Ministry of Labour began to enforce that employers in Ontario who have workers working on construction projects would be required to complete the Working at Heights training.

At that time, the Ministry of Labour had provided a two-year transition period for workers who met the Fall Arrest training requirements prior to April 1st, 2015.

As of April 1st, 2017, these workers will have to ensure they have completed the Ministry Approved Working at Heights training program.

If your company is rated as ‘construction’ than your workers will require the Working at Heights training prior to April 1, 2017.

This standard applies to all construction projects in Ontario regulated by the Regulations for Construction Projects

You can bet that the MOL inspectors will be out in full force to ensure the new standard is being followed.

We have monthly MOL Approved Working at Heights training classes at our Stoney Creek facility and we can also provide the training at your facility with a group rate
