The Ministry of Labour has introduced a new Employments Standards poster because of the changes to the Employment Standards Act, 2000 that came into force on January 1, 2018. It is mandatory for all employers covered under the ESA to post the most recent version (7.0) in their workplace. The poster must be posted in English and must be displayed in the workplace where employees are most likely to see it.

While the poster must be displayed in English, the MOL provides translated versions of the poster where it should be displayed beside the English version.

All employees must receive a copy of the poster within 30 days of being hired. The employer may provide the poster in a printed form or as an attachment in an email to the employee. It can also be provided as a link to the poster so long as the employer ensures that the employee has access to a computer and the data base to which it is stored, and access to a printer.
